Blackman & White put on a show at Techtextil exhibition

Blackman & White had a very positive show at this year’s Techtextil exhibition in Frankfurt in May. A biennial event, Techtextil is one of the world’s largest international trade fairs for technical textiles and nonwovens.
The company showcased the Genesis 2300 conveyorised cutter with the driven pizza wheel and Vibratory Knife head. Visitors to the stand were able to experience first-hand the machine’s speed and cut accuracy with an impressive degree of intricacy. The machine also featured an optical recognition camera for the registration of a cut path. Hugely popular in the digital print industry, this camera enables the machine to cut individual printed graphics accurately and quickly.

Also being demonstrated was a laser projection system for laser marking, measuring and alignment. This is currently very popular in the composite and aviation industries but has broad applications across other industries.

Woven into the functionality of the machine as optional extras offered by Blackman & White, these options proved of great interest to visitors at the show- just two examples of the problem-solving approach of Blackman & White to find means to tackle production bottlenecks and optimise efficiency for their customers.
