Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll play a valued role at the heart of our operations. Based primarily at our Heybridge site, you’ll also enjoy regular travel
to client premises across the UK, building strong relationships and representing our business with professionalism and expertise.

This is a hands-on position with real variety – no two days are the same. While you won’t have formal line management responsibilities, you’ll be a trusted source of
knowledge and guidance, supporting, mentoring and developing colleagues day to day. You’ll have the opportunity to shape best practice, share your expertise
and make a meaningful impact across the wider team as the needs of the business evolve.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the General Manager.
  • Work with the Sales Department to gather sales data from customers & produce quotes.
  • Ensure any specific customer requirements are clearly communicated to the sales team.
  • Maintain the sales information systems with details of current, former & prospective customers.
  • Undertake customer visits across the UK to progress & finalise sales.
  • Produce sales activity reports for the General Manager & Directors.
  • Identify sales opportunities & highlight any barriers to converting a sale.
  • Understand & interpret technical information provided by the field-based Sales Team obtained from customers.
  • Re-create a potential customer’s application utilising B&W products only.
  • Film the workflow ready for presentation to the customer.
  • Produce physical samples to the highest standards ready for shipping to the customer.
  • Provide customers with live demonstrations.
  • Conduct training with customers.
  • Undertake final training on site with customers.
  • Work with the Design Team to test & trial new tools.
  • Work with the Development team to test software & provide thorough feedback.
  • Comply with all Company policies, procedures & training requirements.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety policies, procedures & working practices.
  • Undertake additional tasks & duties as deemed necessary by your manager or by the needs of the business.

Requirements:

  • Experienced with the use of CAD.
  • Sales experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Availability and ability to travel throughout the UK.

 

Desirable:

  • Degree background or equivalent experience.
  • CAD Certified.

 

Training, Qualifications and Certifications:

 

  • You will either have or be willing to study towards the following:
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Any training/qualifications/certifications required by law, best practice or customers.
  • Any other training identified by your manager which supports or adds value to your role.

CNC Machine Commissioner & Technical Support

You will report to the Directors and liaise with the Principal Software Engineer work primarily onsite at our Heybridge site with occasional offsite work required.
You may be required to work at other locations as directed by your manager or the needs of the business.

You have no direct line management responsibilities. You will be required to train, mentor and support colleagues on a day-to-day basis and as directed by your manager.

Responsibilities:

    • Commission, configure and test CNC machines, including motors, motion control and machine control software.
    • Work closely with Production and Design teams to diagnose issues and drive continuous CNC design improvements..
    • Rigorously test CNC machines and ensure they leave the factory fully tested and compliant with quality standards.
    • Provide technical support to customers and the sales team, including demonstrations and pre-sales assistance.
    • Develop and deliver technical documentation and training for colleagues and customers on hardware and software.

Field Support/Installations Engineer

We are looking for a talented Field Support Engineer to join our service team. The role shall be UK office based with frequent site visits and
machine installations with a bias to UK travel. All travel and subsidence expenses shall be covered, and a company van, laptop and phone provided.

Responsibilities:

  • PPM Site Service Visits.
  • Breakdown Site Visits.
  • Office based remote technical support.
  • Machine Installations.
  • Occasional support to machine production.

Requirements:

  • Multi-skilled engineer with a good knowledge of fault finding, electrical and mechanical repairs.
  • Previous experience of in-field servicing is essential.
  • Knowledge of PLC, CAD/CAM & CNC preferable.
  • Good level of computer literacy.
  • Ideally, previous experience commissioning, training & installation of capital equipment.
  • Willingness to travel and be prepared to stay overnight.
  • Clean driving license and able to drive abroad.
  • Personally motivated with excellent organisational skills.
  • Friendly customer focused attitude and the ability to communicate at all levels.
